As expected
I quite like the Harpur centre, although it's not quite a specific shopping centre like Milton Keynes or Bluewater... it's like an extension of the high street and silver street only it's undercover
the range of shop is good enough as everything else you might want is just outside the doors. As it's in the centre you don't have to make a specific journey, it's conveniently located and bright and clean

As expected
the hapur centre could do with a refurb, its very dated now and still smells like stale smoke. milton keynes is a lot bettter with more choice.
But to be honest if you need something and dont want to be there all day there isnt much wrong with it

Below expectations
Bedford's shopping experience is a bit all over the place. The Harpur Centre is the only indoor bit. It's a little 80's and the shop choice isn't great

Above expectations
Standing proud behind the old facade of Bedford School is Bedford's hub of shopping activity.
With all the popular named shops and some unique boutiques you can get almost everything you need here.
Also, for the fellas who are dragged around by their better halves there are plenty of places to refresh yourself with great tea, coffee and eating places.
For the kids...well there is always that spirally thing to run up and down !!

Centrally located handy shopping centre

Above expectations
The Harpur Centre is one of those happy town centre shopping centres that offers you everything you want and more...
All the stores you'd expect to find in a town centre are right here, and a few of the more specialist shops as well!
It's one of those places that's ideal to head to at Christmas because you can wander round, take your time, and usually find exactly what you want.

The Harpur Centre is THE centre of shopping in Bedford.
It houses the big-name brands and has parking right in the town centre.
The centre is well managed and always feel bright, safe and a pleasant place to be.
