As expected
The Rep is a bog standard Chicago's but with a different name. The bar is on two levels and can get really busy on Friday & Saturday Nights, as its pretty central. You will ALWAYS get people in here in Fancy Dress... its weird but it always occurs. The music is the usual Party Stuff, with the odd great Mash Up being dropped! If you don't like you evening filled with pushing past people to get to a different area this isn't the place for you, it can also get quite rowdy at times.
An average Party Bar with a good mix of people. Never been in the day but I would have thought it wouldn't be great.

Below expectations
Al Murray as the pub landlord may never have been confused but for me this bar is.
When I was younger and out drinking more than George Best used to, this was a regular haunt of mine. (Bout 10 years ago)
Since I've been back in Suffolk the last couple of years, I have to say every time I've been in here, it has seemed different and lacking direction.
The staff never really seem to know what they are doing and the food is clumsy and quite pricey for what it is.
Shame had many a good night here.

Below expectations
What used to be a must go bar a couple of years ago is now empty and without personality. They have the HD Aquarius screens in there and watching fish swimming around in makeshift tanks was the most entertaining thing about going in for a drink with friends.

Another bar that is exactly what it says on the tin, a big chain, average food but on a friday/saturday night they play good party music and its always packed. Great atmosphere and generally good fun. Cant really go wrong with this one and its in a great location in the centre of town.

Another favourite bar of mine is this one. I remember what it was like when I first went in, must be about 6 years ago now. The inside was designed like an old theatre, which drapes and theatrical masks around and it actually looked very distinctive (I think the theme behind this came from the fact that it used to be a theatre). It has two floors and various levels of seating on the ground floor. If you fancy getting in on the party action then you can mingle on the main floor or you can sneak away on the sofas and have a quiet one. They have a large screen on the wall two which lets everyone see who is strutting their stuff on the dancefloor (I have been seen a couple of times).
