The Best Pub in Town

Beyond expectations
Imagine a time when you could enjoy great beer and great company without loud music, fruit machines and rowdy teenagers. Stepping into The Globe is like stepping back in time to a place where you always feel welcome. Offering twelve real ales and ciders (alongside the usual wines and spirits), the 2007 and 2008 CAMRA Pub of the Year re-opened its doors less than three years ago after being transformed from its former life as a less than desirable watering hole. Re-opening The Globe as a real ale pub was a brave decision taken by landlord Mel Hall, who's always on hand to welcome you personally. The decision paid off, with the pub now doing a roaring trade every night of the week. With a selection of European lagers on offer, including Staropramen, Leffe and Warsteiner, there's something for everyone at The Globe. If you fancy a night of great beer and a fantastic social atmosphere, The Globe's the place to be.
