Above expectations
Really nice but very busy pub/restaurant. Great food but was there on a very busy night and things were all a bit squashed and hectic. Pub area is not big so you feel a bit in the way while your waiting for your table. However, food and ambience was excellent

Beyond expectations
The fox, although not technically in Harpenden, is an excellent Gastro-pub just north of the town on the Luton Road.
The food is superb and service very good. This is the sort of place to take a nice lady (or chap) to impress, so expect to pay £20-30 per head for food and drink.
