Fun for youngsters

This used to be my old haunt when I was younger. Fun music, good location in central watford and always a good night. Great to go to with big groups of friends. It used to be the only proper club in Watford but I think now there are a few to compete including Area and a few others.

Usually overly crowded, expensive drinks and generally there is a conversation that says.. ...I'm not going to Destiny... alright, but we need to get somewhere and get drunk first"
It's a hole and the people in there are chavs. It's overly dark ad the sweat drips off the walls
if that's your thing, you'll love it. If it's not, you'll hate it

I can't stand nightclubs like this and hate having to go into this one when a mate is having a party in there.
Cliche music, full of guys with chips on their shoulders.
It's always too busy and uncomfortable... oh and the bar prices don't help the enjoyment.
When I was 17 and it was called Kudos I loved it, but then I was only 17 and didn't really know what a great night out was like!!

God-awful

Went to Destiny many years ago and I have to say each time I went I had to be scandalously lashed. At the time I was a Londoner who was new to Watford nightlife so there was a certain novelty factor. As time went on I was able to control my alcohol consumption and actually see Destiny for what it is: a bit of a hole. Some of the worst chavvy divs, London rude-boys, underage kids and slappers the South-East has to offer are all contained in this venue. Sure the tunes weren’t that cheesy and it’s a big place, but it has to be in order to accommodate them all. The only positive way of looking at it is that it performs the service of keeping them away from other bars in Watford.
Signs that let you know what you’re dealing with: The ‘VIP lounge’ is so easy to walk into that anyone can get in, and thus is not a VIP lounge. This means that, rather obviously, your only means of escape from the crowds really is the exit. It’s also above an Iceland overlooking a car-park which plays host to early morning drunken, clumsy rumbles. And if you’re lucky, you may just catch one of the girls you thought was attractive inside (usually after 10 pints) entertaining the passing minicabs by urinating in the street.
To conclude: Avoid. Just another one of those over-sized attitude-heavy commercial nightclubs you get it in all small town centres without the eclectic clientele to make it worthwhile. However, if you’re 17 and up for a fight, what are you waiting for?

Massive; but watch out for the crowd

Destiny, and more specifically Watford attracts all types of party-goers. From those who are keen on the new urban scene to those who are complete indie-rock goers, it's bizarre to watch. I went to Destiny last year not really knowing what to expect, except from the fact I knew it was massive. The first hour and a half of my night was spent in a que, with people pushing in, pushing out! and basically pushing in general. All good fun for about 10 minutes until you realise it's cold, wet and that you're missing out on potential fun. When I did get inside, I was greeted by possible the highest temperatures ever experienced in a night club, it was humid, sweaty and make it harder to breath. Not good seeing as I wore a jumper to brave the weather outside. The club itself is gigantic with different floors, areas and sections dedicated to each branch of music and crowd. The main section played the popular dance and rnb cuts and was reminiscent of Oceana in Birmingham (which is fantastic). All in all it is a nice club but only if you're really in the clubbing or raving mood, it's not a place to chill that's for sure. it's also certainly anything other than upmarket, as they crowd, surroundings and general atmosphere cry out 'chav and rudeboys' in general. You can tell who the regulars are here and you can tell they make it a point to spend every weekend in this club until the day they die. Good luck to them, I prefer going to Central London and paying a bit more (ok a lot more) but having a much better night out. Oh, and London club goers know what air conditioning and deodorant is too :-P
