Well below expectations
When I first moved to the UK I went into the Walkabout Watford and was happy to find a place I could buy a Meat Pie, listen to some Aussie rock, and wistfully dream of home.
Something happened.
Something terrible.
Now the most aussie drink you can get is a pint of Fosters (made in clapham... it's not drunk at home).
Most days the sports TV plays Football (Soccer to us), which as any football fan knows, is a minor sport in OZ.
Then theres the menu.... at best it's an insult. You're dazzled with australian lingo from a bad 1980's episode of neighbours, but the substance beneath is... well... an english pub. The classic "Aussie all day breakfast" is an english breakfast. Infact, I defy you to find me a venue in Australia that serves bacon and eggs with a side of baked beans.
Nothing wrong with it, but nothing Australian about it either.
Finally, any place that charges you extra for a pot of sauce (yes, the conversation went "Everything all right with your meals?" "Yeah, can I get some BBQ sauce?" "Yes, but that's an extra pound, I'll need to go ring it through the till"...) frankly doesn't only fall short of an Australian pub, it falls short of ANY pub.
Go along and feel insulted, and experience a place about as Australian as Manchester.

As expected
Stock Standard Walkabout pub... cheap beer and not the classiest place in town, but you know what your getting when you walk through the doors
It's the place to go if you want to throw a lot of booze down your neck and dance like a loon, not if you want to stand around pouting in your cardigan and winkle pickers

Beyond expectations
If you want to end your night with a bunch of pretenders and idiots then you shouldn't go into Walkabout.
This place has a classic party disco with loads of space so you not jammed in and come out sweating.
Food in the day is also very nice... hmmm Kangaroo! Oh and you've got to have a go on the platforms dancing!!
