Mange tout mange tout mon ami!!

19 May 08, 16:12 4* Above expectations

And for those who don't love French as much as me...

I absolutely love France and at any opportunity would eat at a French restaurant. Le Sacre-Bleu in Northampton certainly exceeded my expectations and confirmed why I love the French! This quaint restaurant could easily be overlooked as you follow a fairy lit alleyway down to the main restaurant, but once found you will be sure not to forget it.

As soon as I walked in I felt as though I had been transported straight to the French shores with the tables themed to the colour of the flag. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming with a definite European feel to it. The menu was extensive with a wide selection of traditional French dishes to choose from that were delicious with some particularly impressive fish dishes. The late license of 3am meant I was able to make the most of the amazing wine on offer, not so good for the weekend hang over.

If you're looking for French dining without making the trip across the border, Le Sacre-Bleu is definitely worth a visit!
