The membership is about 100quid a year or you can just opt to pay the tenner on the night. During the summer months its really cool to sit up stairs in the open roof garden, the bar is quite small but they do table service. Attracts nice attractive folk too. always a bonus.

This place is membership only so it gets rid of any riff raff and young chavs. Saying that if you wanna pay a tenner on the door when they are not too busy then that works too. Its great for the open top bar when the sun is out, or the basement club that has different music nights at weekends. Best place for a night out in Numpty.

This place is for members only and therefore alot of the Northampton special chavs don't come here. they have great bands on, but the sound quality is rubbish!

It has a more upmarket clientelle.

I like this place but the downstairs club bit can get very hot and a bit smelly on a evening.

When I first went to Ruth's I didn't get it... but if like me you sometimes get a bit fed up of bridge st and trollied women wearing hot pants that are clearly too small for them - then ruths is the place to go.

Drinks are pretty cheap - less than a tenner for 3 drinks and it's a real mix of people and ages in there

This is a members club and is a little more upmarket than the usual Northampton bar/club.They have a wine bar,a roof terrace and nightclub and the Black Bottom club where they host bands. It is a great place to go after about 10.00pm a good crowd, and different DJ's on a Friday and Saturday night. late night drinking!!

Aunty Ruths has it all, with a club open til the early hours downstairs, a nice bar on ground level with leather sofas and a few places to sit, and upstairs the roof garden for when the sun actually shines. You no longer have to be a member, as thats about a hundred quid a year, but you can pay a tenner and get in, which is only annoying when its not a busy night. Good music on both levels too and usually attracts a decent crowd, the membership keeps the chavs away and most are over 25. But young and trendy.

The first time I went in I had no idea it would open out into this massive room. There's loads of space inside but I would say there's not a great range of drinks on offer.

I've only ever been there for salsa lessons (which are awesome!) but it seems like a great place. I know lots of people who go there and rate it really highly. I love all the photos on the wall - it's really unique so definitely worth popping by...

not all i thought it would be

Firstly, they like to turn people away in my experience, and once you do get in, its really cramped and you can barley dance with all the bodies around toy. Its full of people who like to think highly of themselfs for being a member but like i said, its not as great as peole like to make out

Great Night Out!

Really good atmosphere and great for over 25's who dont like being surrounded by 16-18 year olds! Great roof terrace which is extra popular since the smoking ban, as this is where alot of people chose to congregate - and lovely on hot summer nights! Music varies between floors - main room has comfy leather sofas to chill on with DJ somtimes or just good music playing. Back room is avail for hire but look out for when the fantastic ginger pig band are on - a real treat and not to be missed! In the basement Friday and Saturday its buzzing with great dancing stuff - my favourite weekend venue whatever my mood!
