Above expectations
Went here on a friday night for the live karaoke, it was a very funny night, got my work colleagues singing, even the boss!!! it was lots of fun, had a couple of local guys doing the karaoke think they were DJs??? The drinks were cheap and the atmosphere was hilarious, parking was not too bad, definately the place for karoke!!! Give it a try.

Below expectations
Im sure this place has its good points, maybe one being the drinks we not that expensive, but i didnt really like the look of it on the outside and i was no more impressed when we went in.

I think its good advice to get drunk before you enter in here, i think the others do, its a bit down and dirty and certainly not a place you would want to spend all of your friday night, its worth a laugh, altho you might be the only one in on the joke. Some funny looking locals in here its like the X Files.

Its cheap and cheerful and you can do a bit of karaoke if thats your thing. It attracts the type of person you would expect from the outside look of the building. But its ok, but there are certainly better places to drink.

Great for a cheap drink to start off your fun on a Friday night - quick service at the bar and karoke hosted by Northanst 96 DJ's Jagger and Woody - what more do you need?!!

Brilliant when drunk, average when sober, but still a wicked night when your with your friends. Fridays are Kareoke night with Northants 96 breakfast presenters Jagger & Woody! Comical evening really... Friendly bar staff, not so sure about the regulars down there.. but hey?! what can you do?!

The Bear will really provide you with a comedy night out. If you take yourself too seriously or are on the pull DEFINITELY don't go there, but if you enjoy having a laugh and some karaoke, Friday nights are great.

The Bear is EXACTLY what you'd expect it to be.
Although I've heard there's some karaoke night on a Friday that is worth giving a go ;-)
Don't be too put off by the way it looks, it really isn't that bad . . . honest !!!
