lloyds it is a great place for meeting friends for lunch, and a quick drink after work, Its cheap and cheerful and foods great, It is great for us smokers too as they have a roof top and all so tables and chairs out front. Staff are friendly its clean and tidy, And good meeting place to start drinking for a good night out.

Lloyds is ok at lunch time when you might stand a chance of getting served theres plenty of light coming in the place, so its not a dark or dingy pub, and its very relaxed. Trouble is the staff are way to relaxed and you will wait for ages.

This is such a lovely place with loads of tables and chairs and massive bars. The only problem really is the waiting time, someone needs to have a word with Mr Lloyd as ive left many a time and gone somwhere else coz i cant be bothered to wait.

I have waited for ages to be served in this pub, and whilst its handy for a drink to then eat in Joes next door, its not a place i would stay a night. Its better at lunch time, when the staff arent rushed and you can get a nice table. The foods ok but again you will wait ages for it.

A bit cheap and cheerless!

this is your typical lloyds cheap as chips place. It is good value for money but the food isnt great. We go here after work as it is our "local" but it attracts the constantly drunk members of Northampton. And it doesn't seem that clean - i wouldn't like to see the kitchen sort of place!!

Lloyds is one of those bars that is fine to go in for a quick drink but if you are going for grub just make sure its not a demanding order, stick to chips!

It seems to take along time to get a drink as well and even though there is a bar upstairs its pointless really as it is never open.

Also I think due to its location and cheapness it must be 'the place to start drinking' for many groups of people going on a night out. If you go straight from work it becomes very loud and packed full of half naked people by about 6.30pmish so if you fancy a quick drink after work make it a quick one, in and out!

this is a very nice bar to meet in, as it is in the centre of town the drinks are very cheap and the food is top notch too aswell as cheap. cheap food cheap drinks HAPPY DAZE

Its a nice location if you are going to or from Joes Diner. I have waited at the bar so long before that i have actually left, so the service really does let this place down. Its nicer at lunchtime and i wouldnt bother at weekends unless you are drunk.

Lloyds is not just named after a bank... but they do good food offers. But like the bank, there are similarities between the two because I have to get my cash from Lloyds to spend at Lloyds. The drink is the same as any other bar and the staff include a couple of fitties in there. Watch out though, I mistook a barMAN for a barMAID.

Hmmm.... I'm not a huge fan of this place. It's fine for an after work drink but the food isn't very nice (my friend's prawns came back uncooked twice) and they weren't very polite about it at all. It doesn't look very clean either. It's cheap and maybe a good place to start on a night out, but I'm not very impressed

Its right in the town near pleanty of other bars which is good if your out on a session, but also, they serve really good tasty and well priced food. Its clean looking, well decordate and they always have good music playing to liven the place up. they have a small seating area out the front and a smoking section on the roof which comes in handy

Lloyds is our work 'local' . . . not a lot to say about it really, it's exactly what you'd expect from a Lloyds . . . it's cheap, the food's OK . . but the service is what lets it down . . . it takes FOREVER to get your food at lunchtime.
