You get what you pay for here, its mens only now as the womens section that was upstairs has now moved across the street. There is a tiny car park round the back but theres only enough room for about 6 cars. They do great suits, shoes and clothes, and have some nice Prada bits too. Not cheap but worth it. Staff cant do enough for you.

Above expectations
Sometimes when you go into designer shops you are made to feel that you don't belong but that's not the case in Thackerays. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and not too pushy. I tend to buy my suits from there and I have found that the advice has been good and any alterations have been done to the highest quality and more importantly on time.

I took the other half in begrudingly - he thought it would be too pretentious for his liking. BUT after about half an hour he spent loads in there and totally changed his mind.

The only place to shop

Above expectations
This place is the best place to shop if you want something nice, designer, well made and have the money to spend. Thackerys now is only mens with the ladies store on the other side of the road. Good for shoes too, with Prada and Ted Baker being just 2 of the many designers you will find here, and the suits are really lovely. The staff are a little forceful but very very helpful and there to sell.
