As expected
This is a good little shop with some cheap bench items and decent t shirts bit it gets so so busy that you cant move and the changing rooms are always busy and takes ages.

Above expectations
I go in this store for the music alone - ha!! They always have some wicked dance or house albums on and I always end up asking what it is -then popping to HMV!!
You can get some really nice unique tops and clothes here - if you're willing to spend a few quid then it's great.
I only ever tend to see a couple of things that stand out - then leave it a while before coming back.

Well below expectations
I have to say when this place first opened in town I was eager to check it out, but having bought some bits from there I was quickly disappointed.
I bought some trousers and top for my partner’s birthday after only a few wears I noticed the trousers had started falling apart all the stitching was unravelling. I was quite annoyed about this but as we had taken them on holiday I thought they wouldn't have let me return them. Actually if I had thought about customer rights I should have marched them back in there.
I do have friends that love this place and occasionally ill spot their outfits and say 'ow where did you get that' when they say Republic I am sometimes tempted to give it a go but the prices coupled with the lack of quality really puts me off.

Below expectations
I always feel a bit intimidated going in shops like this - they're a bit cool for me. It's VERY expensive and even if I had the money I wouldn't spend it there. Two tops for £50 - oh bargain. NOT. Staff seem OK but a bit cool for school.... the shop is TINY so don't even THINK of entering if your hands are full of shopping bags

Below expectations
Republic as a store in general is good... but the Northampton one lacks choice for men, is a fraction of the size of the one at the Trafford Centre. It's very claustraphobic and not much room. On a busy Saturday this is a cocktail for disaster
