Chinese heaven

The first chinese all you can eat place i went to is the flaming dragon in the corner house. It was ok, but not great. The second place i went to is the big wok. I LOVED IT!!!!! Im a guy who likes his food and so for me the big wok was like heaven! You get a wide choise of food and though the drinks are slightly expensive it is overall great value for money. When I go to some resturants which give me tiny portions for enourmous prices i fell slightly cheeted, but Im telling you eat at this place i can assure you will be satisfied. And also one more thing, when you serve yourself at the big wok do not feel you have to have tiny portions so you dont look gready. Pile up your plate to your heartscontent. Everyone (including me) Acts like a pig at the big wok, so dont be afraid oif stuffing your face! Hope you found this review helpful.

I have eaten there many times, and I really love this buffet restaurant. The price is very cheap than anywhere else in Nottingham, comparing to Flaming Dragon in the CornerHouse is like £10 per person and here is £4.99 in the lunchtime buffet and £9.99 in the evening buffet, which has more choices of the food. The staff in there are very nice and friendly that they give you a friendly introduction and express themselves to make you and their customers happy which I would say it is recommended in the East Midlands.
They do announcements to share the customers' ocassions if they want it to say it out to all of the restaurant to appreciate them and to enjoy their day. Like Birthdays, Congratulations (for example, engagements, marriages and so much more) and farewells that they will miss their customers. If you don't want to have your announcement out, it's okay because they do understand of your feelings and would not make you embarrassed. They do accept your own cakes in if you want them to celebrate and prepare your cakes too for announcements and prepare in excellent time.
The service in Big Wok is amazing! Because they take your plates away from your table to keep your space clean and when you get more food, it would not be recommend to use your old plate, for health and safety reasons that it would be good to have a new plate to enjoy your new set of food you picked.
I would give a definitely a 10 out 10!

All you can eat buffet, best to book than just turn up as it does get quite busy. Great food for the price, which also includes a desert which they do offer a a good selection. Seating is a little tight and drinks can be a bit expensive but on the whole great value for price.
great value

Not the best decor in the land BUT great value food, good atmosphere and I've seen people queueing to get in at lunchtime. All you can eat buffet at a great price and the staff are very accomodating. Don't forget to pick up your knife and fork before you sit down!

There's quite a few "all you can eat" chinese buffet restaurants in Nottingham now, some are better than others.
Big Wok isn't the best, but it certainly isn't the worst. For the money you pay, it's excellent value.
My main critisism is the vegetarian choice. There's only really a couple of veggie main course options, & one of these is Bean curd in Mango Sauce.
....MANGO SAUCE!!! ....what's that all about?
Can I have my Bean Curd in black bean sauce please?
