A lovely shopping experience out of the city

My family and I often park here before heading into the city. But you can easily spend the day.
They have a huge range of shops, a lovely food hall and plenty of free car parking.
It can get busy but being open until late gives flexability, especially at weekends.
The shops are all you usual high street chains but within a great setting just off the M1.

Brent Cross - what a treat!

When we were little it was such a treat if Mum suggested a trip to Brent Cross. It involved getting up dead early on a Saturday to arrive before it opened and avoid the queues. Then when it started to get busy around 11am we'd head off to John Lewis cafe for a hot chocolate or an icecream and be home by lunchtime. Over the years what started as one strip of shops between John Lewis and Fenwicks has grown and expanded to be a really good shopping centre with nearly all of your favourite high street names and including restaurants and some smaller shops. I sound like my Mum but it is worth getting there early on a weekend 'cos it gets really busy... and during sale time it is crazy!

I Love shopping

I am a massive fan of Brent Cross - its local (to me) easy to park and has a great selection of shops.
It does get slightly mad at weekends and i would go as far as to say it is mayhem - especially if you are trying to push a buggy round too.
The selection of shops is great and food court is good for an informal bite to eat.
With John Lewis at one end and Fenwicks at the other end and loads of slection in between you are bound to find what you are looking for.
All it is missing is a Primark!

Contains lots of shops including Marks and Spencers, HMV and john lewis.
Although there are often days which the traffic is terrible, brent cross is usually open until very late, so a good way to beat the traffic is to go late as the shops are about to close or first thing in the morning as the shops open.
If traveling by car it may be easier to enter by Hendon way rather than by the North Circular. This way you will not find yourself stuck in a traffic jam on a bridge.
You Will also find that if you park on the lower levels of the car park you may pay a reasonable price to have your car washed.
If you are not driving I suggest you take the bus which stops by the entrance to the middle court in Brent Cross, or taking a tube to Brent Cross station then the 210 bus to Brent Cross.
Brent cross also provide a bus from the Shopping Centers bus station to Toys R Us and Tesco for free.
The food hall has a nice variety of different cafes and restaurants to suit all needs. I suggest Wagamma which serves excellent Oriental food.
Even if you have been several times, look at the maps when you arrive as there are many different areas to brent cross. A good way of locating yourself is John Lewis and Fennicks are on opposite sides of the main section of Brent Cross, John Lewis being on the same side as the multi-storey car parks.
Also Krispy Kremes (sorry if I have misspelt), which are a tasty brand of doughnuts can be bought on the secound level of Fennicks. (look to the floor for guidance :D )
