Below expectations
Even though the restaurant is nearly always pretty empty - staff here seem totally incompetant and you often have to wait a good few minutes before coughing loudly to get someones attention to be seated. Food is typical of the Harvester - can be ok but nothing to shout about - and when they get it wrong... they really get it wrong. Waited over an hour for a platter which then came out wrong and cold. Refused to pay and staff looked surprised. Best tasting thing in there is the wine.... Staff are so unproffesional, I felt like I was gate-crashing an 18th birthday party. Don't go!!

Well below expectations
This could be a lovely pub and restaurant….but it needs a major referb. The building is stunning and it has a big presence at the top of Hayes High Street oppose the station. Unfortunately it was last decorated over a decade ago and it really shows. There is nothing wrong with the pub, it is just dingey and needs a make over! The food is typical Harvester food, which is great if you have kids to entertain and they are running riot! It is usually empty; it really needs to be updated!
