For the sophisticated drinker

A lovely little room down stairs with out side seating greets customers. A quaint old style facade leads to a well stocked bar with a nice selection of ales. Real ale at £3.10 a pint is most enjoyable. As a treat for £4.60 a pint 6.5% Lieffe is avalible the most I have paid for a pint ever. The pub was busy when I used it with a group from the college across the road it was always possible to hear what was being said.
A TV is present. The rest of the pub was full of a few regulars and tourists some were heavy drinking Russian types on shots of Black Label. It is overall a nice pub for the sophisticated drinker and man or woman about town.

Great pub!

Slight wine-bar feel to this place but still manages to maintain its pub-feel. Nicely decorated inside & is on the corner of a pedestrianised street/edge of a square so its great to stand outside. Slightly off the beaten track but still manages to be busy mid-week. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Traditional

A small but fun pub with a real traditional yet not too old fashioned atmosphere. A wide range of customers who are always willing to have a conversation make for an interesting evening. They only serve food at a lunch time, but it is very nice. Always have three well kept real ales on. Outdoor seating in a cobbled street, with restaurants surrounding, gives one a every European, holiday, relaxing feeling, even in WC1!
