it's dark, a little dirty, the drinks are a touch over-priced, but it's one of the greatest places to see up-and-coming bands in London. The atmosphere upstairs is excellent, the sound is better than it has any right to be, and downstairs is perfect to pretend you're in the music industry by chatting inanely with a record bag swinging from your shoulder.
I've seen loads of great shows here: The Get Up Kids, Dananaanakroyd, The Horrors, Middle Class Rut, The Killers, Electric Six, The Polyphoic Spree, Bright Eyes and plenty, plenty more...
The Barfly deserves a Brit Award for outstanding contribution to music.

The best thing i like about this bar is that they play recent music, and also give music artists the opportunity to promote their music in here, this mean the audience can be the first hear and spot new talent. The drinks are reasonably cheap thats if you stick with the offers. The bar is always interesting to go to any day of the week.

The Strokes, Razorlight and The Libertines all played at this tiny Camden venue before the release of their debut albums. A comfy venue for those interested in seeing the 'next big things' before they become the next big things.

Cool music venue and bar in Camden. See a few bands here and been to a club night. The club was very busy, we could hardly move or get to the bar and wherever we stood people where squeezing passed. Got better later in the evening. Good room upstairs to see bands in fairly small and when filled for a good band has a great atmosphere. Nothing special on the drinks front - the usual and a few beers and Guinness on tap.
