Healthy and tasty

This place has the best salad bar you can create any type of salad you want and they've managed to make eating salads interesting! They also do soups, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. The smoothies and juices are made to order and taste delicious. The salads are a bit more expensive than shop bought ones but they taste so much nicer

A salad based odyssey!

A trip to Tossed is always a firm favourite at lunchtime and the salads are really filling and satisfying! Don't be fooled by the often lengthy queue when you get there, the staff are a crack team of salad making ninja's and they make light work of knocking up a fine line in 'salad staples' such as your tuna nicoise and caeser, plus a range of their own creations ranging from mexican/nacho hybrids to a batch of seasonal specials...
Plus they do a great line in fruit and vegetable smoothies all mashed up as you wait!

Nice But Pricey

This place is a great idea, although a very simple concept, i'm surprised there aren't more of these places about. I do, however think it's over-priced for what it is. It's a great alternative to sandwiches or fast food for lunch, and a very healthy option, but paying a fiver for some lettuce leaves and about 4 other items is a bit steep.
The smoothies are lovely, and really refreshing, but again, not the cheapest. It annoys me that their sandwiches and wraps always have either mayonaise or some kind of pickle in them too.
I like to go to treat myself, but it's too pricey for me to go daily.

Tossed is great if you fancy a nice salad.
I love the bar style set up although I think prices are a little steep. You can get a menu salad for about a fiver, but other items such as accompaniments to lunch are a little pricey in my opinion.

Sadly I have to go against the grain on this place.
Although the dressings are very tasty, I felt the food was bland. There wasnt enough even for a side salad and it was very expensive.
the queue is always massive and all the meat tastes and looks like its fallen on the floor and been stampped on.
If youre a health freak tho, check it out. Youre sure to shed a few pounds...

Smooth Smoothies

A lot of people from work go here for lunch, and yes the salads are amazing!
It's great that they are made fresh right in front of you, and you have the flexibility to have what you want. If you don't like olives - you don't have to have them - simple as.
My only fault with the salads are the price. They are so addictive that during the summer i want one a day - and that gets pricey!
Aside from the salads the yoghurts with seeds are pretty scrumptious and the smoothies are definitely worth a try - especially when you have OD'd on coffee from nearby Starbucks!
All in all a refreshing change from your usual soggy sandwich outlets!

Salad to go

Tossed is probably one of my favourite lunch places around Leicester Square. The selection of fresh salads, sandwiches and smoothies is great and they always come up with daily specials. Though it might be a bit pricier then your average lunch costs it’s still great value for what you get: a box of fresh crispy salad with any topping you can ever think of! It gets really busy during lunch time so make sure you get there early!

Good but not the best

I agree with everything people are saying - nearly everything. Tossed is a great idea but let's face it, they weren't the first and I still to this day believe that Vital Ingredient have better salads.
However, this one is nearer to my work and that's why I go. One thing I must give them praise for is their hot stews - they change the menu daily and they always have a veggie and a meat option. Served on brown rice they are pretty much as healthy as a salad and I wouldn't be surprised if some of them aren't actually healthier (if you usually opt for the gorgonzola salad dressing, for example).
All in all, good for lunch once a week but I'd rather make my own salad at home for a fraction of the price (and less the plastic packaging).

I discovered tossed about 3 months ago and now go there about twice a week. Some people in my building seem to everyday.....
Great selection of salads and hot options form pre-selected to choose your own. A medium salad is about £3.50 and is fine for me.
The only annoying thing is that you cant take an ingredient out of a salad on the menu and substitute it for another - you have to pay extra.. but I suppose you cant have everything

A healthy option amongst the carbtastic sandwich shops! It's salad - your way, made right in front of you. You can design your own or choose from the extensive menu, either way its fresh and healthy. They also do a soups, stews and jacket potatoes and if you are watching the calories they detail exactly whats in each (hot) dish including how many grams of fat and calories they contain. The smoothies are great and the banana custard gets me everytime! The queues can be quite long during peak luncktime, but they move quickly as the staff are efficient.

A touch of health in a zone of food disasters. There's not many nice places to eat around leicester square.
Pick your base from cos, brown rice, cous cous and mixed leaves then select either a house salad or design your own.
There's also sandwiches, soups, stews, jacket potatoes avaliable and they do great smoothies. I particularly enjoy the strawberry surprise & chicken caesar salad.

Great salad bar for lunch

Beyond expectations
I love this place - and also really annoyed that i didn't come up with the concept myself.
Great salads made fresh in front of you. They have a big(ish) menu that i haven't eaten my ay throught yet but i have tried most of. They offer a mix of sala bases (lettuce, mixed leaves, cous cous & noodles) and you choose the fun stuff that goes with it. They have a selection of classics (e.g. chicken caeser) & house favourites, or you can go off-piste and choose your own ingredients from the multitude on offer.
Service is quick and friendly although at lunchtime the queues build up - because it's so good. They can also do office delivery but only on request. They have a slightly pretentious ethical ethos, portrayed by some unfathomable comments around the walls (either i'm stupid or the shop designer didn't have English as their first language) but don't let that put you off.
Fresh, healthy food at good prices. Damn it i should have got their first!
