Another one of the great houses for gear in London, alot of us from work bye are clothing from here, some nice designer suits, and some great weekend wear. The price is high but who cares when you have money.

I wish I could shop here all the time - I love the stripes and swirls - the shop is wonderfully laid out and a pleasure to shop in. Don't expect any bargains in here but do expect some timeless items.

Awful Staff

Well below expectations
Paul Smith is certainly somewhere to go. The shop is fascinatingly set out as it it’s 4 old shops that you wander through and explore. The clothes are of great quality and if you head downstairs to the suit section, the suits are brilliant. There is an expert on suits and downstairs the staff are extremely knowledgeable… however, if you go upstairs, the staff are appalling. Pretentious, sneering, posing, gossiping, preening show offs who stare down their noses at shoppers. This isn’t a bitter diatribe as they were horrific to the person in front of me and couldn’t have cared if he’d burst into flames.
I have to apologise to the suit guys who were great, but the ground floor were so awful and the prices were high, they end up with one star.

Window display of the year

Paul Smith shops recently won a prize for the best window displays and they are definately worth a look. The shop is great for tourists and Londoners alike with a fantastic selection of jeans and tailoring. The shop is pricey but you have to remember that it is designer, so take a look and dream of what you would buy if you won the lottery. The staff are really helpful as you would expect for the prices you pay and the shop doesn't have that snotty designer sales person hanging around, which is great.

I rarely buy anything from here, but always make a point of dropping in when in Covent garden, I got a suit here last year, and it has served me so well that I've struggled to justify buying another one to replace it. Like lots of good high end fashion stores, the best stuff always seems to enter a new tier of expense, this time, they had a great dinner jacket with loads of subtle but clever stitching around the pockets and cuff, which looked really tempting until I realized it was £1,200.
I love Paul Smith clothing, but always feel that the floral shirts and flourishes of colour suit someone older than me, so whenever I try any PS stuff on of it on it makes me look like someone trying too hard to impress, hence why I rarely buy anything from here (plus the price tags).
