Well below expectations
interesting to read suzy g's review. What was the Neal Street restaurant is now a branch of American Apparel, so maybe she got confused and ate a very delicious pair of overpriced, brightly coloured pants?

As expected
The Neal Street Restaurant offers a well cooked Italian food. You can taste the great experience of Antonio Carluccio. The restaurant offers different Regional specialities but the most important food are mushrooms. The menú has always mushrooms in season. All the ingredients come from Italy. The restaurant is modern and elegant with lots of mirrors.

Above expectations
When Antonio Carluccio came over here from Italy, he wasn't actually a proper chef. He just knew his stuff and set about educating the British into the ways of proper Italian food. Umpteen years on, he has a string of successful Carluccio's cafes, but this is his original baby and pretty darned great it is. It's far more classic Italian fare, with proper antipasto, pasta, meat & fish courses and nearly everything is top class. Antonio's personal crusade is mushrooms, so anything based around that is always going to be good. Costs around £30-40 per head, but it's worth it!
