different but nice!

This pizza place is surely not your average pizza place! They offer a range of pizzas from all over the world. Some of the combinations seem a bit weird and I on my first visit it took me some time to decide on what I wanted. I went for a New York Pizza with roast potatoes, bacon and sour cream and it was absolutely amazing. The portions are pretty big and you can easily share a pizza. They have great lunch offers so definitely worth a visit!

Yummy Pizza

09 Apr 08, 17:38 5* Beyond expectations

Probably my favourite pizza in London, Fire & Stone takes a different slant on pizza.

All the options are named after cities and the toppings represent that city. The base is pretty thick and the toppings pile on. Small potato pieces on a pizza may sound odd but trust us it works. The Canberra is my favourite.

They often have big offers on so it's worth checking their website or toptable.

A (pizza)breath of fresh air

27 Mar 08, 17:46 4* Above expectations

This place is really intriguing. They don't serve your usual selection of traditional Italian/European pizzas but rather a mix of pizzas with toppings based on the different cuisine’s around the world.

You can order a spicy, lamb-mince pizza from Marrakech or a green-chicken curry pizza from Koh Samui - weird but it works!

Also, and this is hard to believe, they have a lunch time deal of pizza & drink (inc. beer or wine) for £5. 6 of us ate their today for just £35! In central London!

And it tastes good and is a very cool, industrial-chic room.

By now you should have your coat on and be heading out the door to gorge yourself on the best value sushi-pizza you'll ever get your chops around.

Crazy Pizzas

I was impressed with this place. Nice decor, friendly service, reasonable prices.

What I wasn't so impressed with was the strange pizza I ordered. I went for the Bavarian pizza - Roast Pork, Cabbage, Sour Cream with cheese and a tomato base. I was hungover and I think this severely affected my judgement because the pizza was disgusting.

I'd probably give this a 4 stars if I had actually ordered a decent pizza but that pizza was truly revolting. Sometimes it pays to play it safe.

Fusion pizzaria

26 Jul 07, 13:49 4* Above expectations

Fire and Stone is generally a safe bet if you're looking to eat in Covent Garden. Its appeal lies in that it has made pizza more upmarket than Pizza Hut and combines fresh ingredients with World styles.Almost each pizza has a dollop of sometime which you can dip your crusts into too, from mint yogurt sauce to sour cream. The giant oven that dominates the front of the restaurant, given that it rises above two floors is impressive too.

One of the best reasons to go to this restaurant is that the selection is huge and almost half of it is vegetarian. So it helps to cater for everyone. Having said this, I am not veggie, and the London pizza topped with Black pudding is and oddly tasty combination.

If you already know that you want to go beforehand, go to the website and there are usually a couple of special offers on there including £10 for pizza and wine. Bargain.

Resonable Pizza Restaurant

20 May 07, 13:11 3* As expected

This is a large split level restaurant mainly based at basement level. Its decorated in a contemporary style. Seating downstairs has almost taken on the wagamama ethos where you are sat very close to other dinners on one long padded seat, however unlike wagamama the tables are separate. The only food on offer is pizza (and salads) however you'd be hard pushed to find a restaurant with a larger selection! Within the menu the pizzas are sectioned off into areas of the world that inspired them leading to a wide variety of choice. Prices are reasonable for the Covent Garden area with some good deals available. The pizzas were of a high quality and service was efficient and friendly.

Stylish pizza

12 May 07, 20:27 4* Above expectations

I like this place. It's a modern trendy pizzaria where you order your pizza by region... well continent actually. Whether you decide on something fragrant from the East, or something "traditional" from the US, it's gonna be good. The ingredients are fresh, and the combinations are creative and so far I've enjoyed everything I've tried including the desserts. Prices are run of the mill for Covent Garden (about £6 - £10 a pizza). If you want to eat there during peak times try to book in advance (you can do it online), cos it can be difficult to get a table on the fly. A good place for one of those last minute, "shall we go out for food?" nights.
