Beer better than food

Below expectations
If you are just having a drink then you wont be too disappointed, we've eaten here a few times in the past and its best to order something they cant get wrong. The steaks are tiny hard dry and over cooked, but sandwiches are good and crisps are even better.

This really isn't a great place to be seen, everytime I've eaten in here the standard of food has dropped. The steaks are tough, and the chips are still half frozen when they get to your table. Avoid this place.

As expected
The Sussex is an ok pub in Covent Garden. It attracts mostly tourists, to whom I imagine it seems very 'English.' To a Londoner, it's just any old pub, which isn't cheap (due to it's location, I imagine). Fine for a drink, but avoid the food - my friend had a pretty bad steak sandwich that cost a fair bit.
