Which is ironic seeing as it's in the heart of tourist London! It's 'near' rather than 'on' Leicester Square and busy at all of the peak times as you would expect.

Leicester Square tube station is so close to everything in the Soho area, wheter you're heading for a night at the West End (5 minute walk to most theatres) looking for a nice meal (China Town just 2 minutes away) or your looking for the stars on the red carpet at the Odeon then you're less than a minute away.
Its served by the Picadilly and Northern lines which gives you good access to Euston, Waterloo or Kings Cross aswell as other major London Terminals.
Trains come every 3 minutes at peak times.

Rammed

Usually completely rammed as Leicester Square is the focal point for most tourists as they head to london.
The most confusing aspect is that it's not actually in Leicester Square, you have to know where you're going to find it, or you can end up heading in the wrong direction.
Make sure you come out of the right exit or you're going to have a busy main street to cross

busy in the evenings as you'd expect...

As expected
Whenever I go to London and need to get off at Leicester Square I seem to have perfected getting lost the moment I get out the station and I'm not really sure how! I then feel like a right fool as I walk round the block three times trying to get my bearings!
Leicester Square is on the Northern and Picadilly tube lines and is a short walk to many of London's theatre venues which mean this station gets really busy in the evenings...
