Beyond expectations
I had to organise yet another corporate event but I think I finally hit the jack pot at work with this one. We took over the private room with its own cocktail bar and staff which was surprisingly spacious for 50 of us. While some got stuck in with the bowling others got stuck in with the drinks. We ended up all dancing away to a great music list put on by them (50s rock'n'roll classics) and rather embarrassingly were kicked out at 2am by the weary staff. It was by far the best corporate night out I've ever had and if this gives me a pay rise at work - ill be taking that room for all my friends!

Above expectations
These shiny Fifties-diner-styled lanes in Bloomsbury have put bowling firmly back in the map. Sleek and well designed, you can either opt for a private room or go public if you're skills are worth putting on show. Cocktails are brilliant - ask for a Lagerita (a half-pint mix of lager and margarita, not actually on the menu, but it's amazing!) - and food is good shake-and-fries fare. A great shout for hen/stag nights, work parties or just to do something a bit different with mates.

Beyond expectations
All Stars is Fabulous. Retro 50s bowling fun. Based in Bloomsbury this is upscale bowling, so there are fabulous cocktails and none of that dreadful supermarket lighting used on standard bowling alleys. This is bowling for grownups. I went recently and its probably been a million years since I last went bowling (or did any sport whatsoever) and I had forgotten what good clean fun it is. I also remembered how totally rubbish I am at this. I got worse after a few cocktails but had a wonderful evening. A great night out
