Fantastic local pub

This is a great local pub just on my street. It has just been refurbished but has kept all of it's local charm and character and is very popular.

Highlights include the pub quiz on a Monday night - which is pretty challenging, the new Thai food menu which is reasonably priced and the trendy local crowd on a Friday and Saturday night.

Well worth a visit!

Great locals pub, with a beer garden and conservatory, dingily and eccentrically decorated entirely with pineapples. And I'm no total thicky, but the pub quiz is brain-hurtingly hard.

This is my local in every sense of the word - I wouldn't even need to take a brolly if it was raining, its that close.

After a couple of years in the wilderness The Pineapple has been given the makeover it deserves while losing none of its charm (and thankfully its eclectic mix of locals)

Its low key, laid back style and welcoming staff, including the lovely Simon, make it a near perfect destination.

I love the new Thai menu, it offers a real alternative to all of the other more traditional gastropubs in the area (which if I'm honest it could not really compete with)

They have just re-introduced the Sunday lunch too so I'll be giving that a try soon.

A great pub, and if you like that sort of thing you might even spot the odd celeb face!

I too would like to consider myself a regular of the quiz night, though i never seem to do very well.

The main room of the pub is rather dominated by the bar, with a small but good selection of beers on tap, not a massive choice, but something for everyone. There's a good selection of spirits as well with each major group being represented by some nice and not too expensive choices. I've never tried the relativly new Thai menu, but the look of the food is mouth watering.

One word of warning though, if you're going for the quiz on a monday, go early. You can't hear the questions in the much larger back room, and the front fills up.

So Good it Gets a Little Crowded

I'm a regular at the Pineapples Monday night quiz (listen out for Quiz Team Hamilton). It's a great night out -good beer and food, and a quiz tough enough to keep you interested but not so hard that you feel embarrassed to hand in your answer sheet. Bare in mind this is a really popular quiz so you would be well advised to get to the pub straight from work if you want to get a seat.

On nights other than a Monday the Pineapple is just a nice and friendly pub with the sort of atmosphere that is perfect for a few jars post work.
