Well below expectations
Barman had a stinking attitude (probably had his period)
Waited over half an hour for a steak meal @ £9 & sausage & mash a little cheaper.
Honestly What a difference! The steak was completely burnt no lie thats what it tasted of, couldn't cut it as it was a slab of over cooked meat.
The sausage & mash ay! such a simple meal the mash dry & not tasty and the sausages were not as good quality as next door! Same price better service & better quality food
Trust me go next door! if you want to cheap drinks they are good for that & space but for good food stay away!

Below expectations
One of the most terrifying pubs I've been in in London. It's got a really rough crowd and this is particularly so at weekends when they have a DJ
A redeeming factor is its 2 for 1 meals at lunchtimes when it becomes full of people who work in the area.

Above expectations
The Litten Tree is a excellent pub for big sporting events such as the World Cup. Huge big screens and a mix of city professionals and locals. Prices very reasonable which is an added bonus.
Overall an excellent little boozer right in the heart of Old Street.
