Disappointing

Below expectations
The pub used to be amazing in it's heyday - but seems to have done down hill over the years. Drinks and food are overpriced and the service is terrible - you'll be stuck at the bar for hours whilst you are countlessly ignored. The toilets are also pretty shambolic - tiny and disgusting. The only positive is the fact that it has a decent beer garden for summer drinking.

Dirty, Overpriced and deceptively dangerous

Well below expectations
One would think that a pub in a location like this, near the ferry on the way to the O2 or back into London, right next to the historic Cutty Sark and the Maritime Museum would be a classy place. One would be wrong. I saw someone step in a turd (presumably dog, but I wouldn't put it past some of the clientelle) and wipe it off on the corner of a chair. There was a drunken scuffle in the 'smoking area' - more like the place the bins are kept, with the expected rubbish, lack of lighting and sinister atmosphere - and the music was so disjointed and inappropriate to be almost comical. The service was sort of OK, if a little slow but the whole place just reeked of neglect. Someone obviously feels this place is a cash cow and leaves it understaffed, badly laid out, dirty and poorly decorated but obviously thinks milking tourists is enough. Avoid if possible.
