Above expectations
Dalston's very own cinema. It's a far cry from the massive chain cinemas and is as far as I know independant.
What they show reflects this as they tend to avoid the big Hollywood blockbusters and show more off centre films.
Don't expect a huge screen though, as Lizzie says expect everything in cute proportions.

Beyond expectations
I saw Control here when it came out and also the Bob Dylan movie. The cinema tends to show films that are a little less mainstream and a little more creative. Generally I think it’s a really cute place.
I use the word cute as everything is small, from the seats to the screen to the size of the pop corn and drinks. If they said the cinema was American this one is standing up in defiance. I really like the atmosphere and friendly staff. I haven't had a bad night there yet.
There is also a large selection of great eating places around it.
