Quick and good vietnamese

As expected
Song Que is big and bustling and unpretentious, and the food is quick and good, although I'd stick to the simpler things with less sauce (like spring rolls, peking duck, rice). It has a good atmosphere as everyone is in there just feasting and drinking. Not worth a trip from miles away, but if you're in the area then definitely good for a quick bite.

Below expectations
I usually favour Viet Hoa, one block down the road but I gave this one a try to break from my usual routine and also because a friend had recommended this one as her preferred Vietnamese restaurant. It's hard to know which one to go to on Kingsland Road as there's about ten within stumbling distance of each other.
The service was fine, but the food just didn't live up to my expectations. I tried the soft shell crab here (my favourite Vietnamese dish) and it was a small portion that just didn't live up to Viet Hoa's signature dish. I'd definitely head down the road. I've also heard that the Cay Tre is very good too!
