A true disappointment

19 Apr 09, 08:47 1 Well below expectations

"The staff genuinely are rude - they do not care about customer service and even the manager treats people with absolute contempt. I have never been anywhere that had left me feeling quite so angry. Given the fact I was not a drunk, trouble-making punter, but a 5 foot 2 smiling girl simply asking a question (I won't bore you with details). Having been in the industry myself for many years, I feel it a great shame that a space where the art work challenges your perceptions, seems to forget that it is just one in a few dozen on that strip that can offer that. Once the novelty of that wears off, there is nothing there to keep you coming back. I will simply take my custom elsewhere. Bad attitude, bad management, bad drinks - A true disappointment!"

Booze

Great bar. It gets it's name from the bag & shoes store that used to be in this spot. They just gutted the inside and turned it into a bar.

Feels like a bar in Berlin more than London. There are two floors and the lower floor is darker and a bit more normal than the quirky looking top floor.

Grrrrrreat!

17 Apr 08, 08:56 4 Above expectations

Great atmosphere with some quirky people at times. If you want a seat then get there early as it gets rampacked very early in the night. The candles on the table gives the place so much character but they are very hard not to play with. Whatever you want or feel like they probably do it as they have a lot of drinks on their menue.

Drink with the Trendies

Perfect for the cool East end kids-good for a dirty little mojito. No attitude, not too cool, but not for the mainstream either, although saying that I did see Gareth Gates in there once ha ha!
