Great value restaurant near Columbia Road.
This is a good place to come when you're after something hearty. They do brilliant fry ups but we enjoy evenings the most.
The shish kebabs are huge and having tried the lamb, steak and chicken I can recommend them all. Particularly love the steak, it's really good quality. And don't miss the starters, the mixed meze is massive. You only need the 'for 1' between two of you.
Good scrambled eggs

The Premises is great for scrambled eggs on toast in the morning, and hummus and falafel and things like that in the evening. It's cheap, the people that work here are very friendly, and I've never been told it's too late to order. A good starting point - before a hop on the 55 bus into town, or a visit to Columbia Road - rather than a destination in itself, the Premises is something I'm very pleased to live close to. * Also worth looking out for: the 'myspace is for losers' graffitti on the recording studio wall
Nice & Cheap

This place is right next door to The Premises Studios, where bands like Hot Chip and Lilly Allen record. I usually come here with my friends on a Saturday/ Sunday lunchtime to get a hangover fry-up as it is pretty close to my flat.
The food is pretty cheap - you can get a full English for around £5, the staff are really friendly, but that could be because they think that we work at the studios. In any case this is a great little cafe, with fast friendly service, and is well worth a visit- especially in summer as there is outdoor seating available.
