Good Dessert!

06 May 08, 15:56 3* As expected

This restaurant has a very good food and staff is wonderful! Our waiter was really nice and he gave us some advices about dishes. He encouraged us to try the churros with chocolate. The chocolate, a speciality of the Oaxacan region, was absolutely indulgent.

Mmm tequila

23 Jul 07, 09:10 4* Above expectations

Tequila is my favourite beverage, and as Green and Red has more that 90 different types, it is automatically one of my favourite bars in London. The ambience is great as well, unfortunately it usually ends up being a bit pricey.

Tequila, it makes me happy

02 May 07, 14:42 4* Above expectations

Oh, my No, my poor misinformed friends, tequila is not the devil's liquor, nor is it exclusively served by girls wearing hot pants and sombreros in the Clapham Grand. If you're ready to find out what it's really about, head to Green & Reds and prepare for the revolution. The first thing you'll notice (trendy wooden decor aside) is that there isn't a shot glass in sight. Here, measures are served up in ISO tasting glasses to allow you to fully appreciate the spirit you're sipping (yes, sipping). The tequila menu is almost exclusively 100 percent agave products (as opposed to hangover-inducing mixtos), and is divided into Blancos, Reposados and Añejos (the three age categories). If you're unsure where to start, either tap Bar Manager Myles Davies for a recommendation, or opt for a tasting flight, which comprises three different measures for you to compare and contrast. And while the spirits are the main attraction, don't overlook the excellent cantina food , a world away from plastic cheese and dusty nachos. Until Shoreditch tube station is open, this is a bit of a trek, but considering it's the best tequila you'll find outside of Mexico, I'd say it is well worth the effort.
