Nice but not a local

As expected
I have been in this pub a few time but for some reason it lacks the charm of so many of the others around in this area. It has a great menu, which is expensive but definitely worth it for a roast on Sunday.
I have also been here for a few drinks in the evening and have never seen such a polite bunch of people getting drunk! It’s quite funny really, this place seems perfect but for me it lacks a little edge.
I’m thinking it’s a good place to go for a first date (impress them with your good taste in public houses), or to dump someone (everyone is so friendly, how can they be sad)…?

Classy local

Above expectations
The food in here is brilliant, with a different menu everday, though rather pricey. There's a dining area with proper tables and a pub area with a nice mishmash of old furniture, comfy seats and cosy lamps, so it does both gastropub and pub pub equally well. Nice and chilled in the afternoons, bit livelier on an evening but you should still get a seat. There was a DJ in the other Friday playing decent enough stuff but really quiet. People in there are mostly local thirty somethings, quite cool but not overly so. Staff are the same and friendly.
Thumbs up.
