Beyond expectations
Top notch restaurant, excellent bar, but the best thing about Sam's is the service! I have not received better service in London. Possibly a bit too seafood/fish heavy on the menu, but the menu does change daily so I could have picked the wrong day!
Would recommend this as a place for special nights out, client meetings/lunches/dinners, and of course to hang out in the bar with friends and fantastic cocktails.

As expected
On the basis of three visits here this seems to me a nice addition to Chiswick eating scene, and one that appears to be quite successful (unlike the doomed-looking Mow's opposite, which I gather is up for sale at a bargain price). The menu is not particularly ambitious but execution was capable; I especially enjoyed their burger special, made from scratch and taking 20 minutes.
