Nice bar that whilst isn't physically far from it, is the thankful antithesis of the moronic Glass Works in the N1. Eclectic crowd and even more eclectic interior make for a pleasant experience. Split into two floors, it can get pretty busy in here. Confortable sofas are popular so get there early. The staff are friendly, and the toilets are frankly some of the best I've seen. Unique design (a fountain at the entrance), with the audio of a stand-up show to keep you entertained. And one of the few bars that serve Kronenbourg Blanc (if, like me, you like that sort of thing).
A superb pub, simply must be visited.

Excellent Sunday-afternoon-with-a-hangover-reading-the-papers pub, with lots of comfy sofas and decent comfort food. They also do smoothies and fresh juices, but why you'd want those in a pub I've no idea. There's some seating outside - the junction of Liverpool Road and Tolpuddle Street is hardly scenic, but it's not bad for people watching. The toilets are pretty special too, not that I'd recommend going to a pub just for the toilets.

I love the Angelic, with its high ceilings, good wine and old oak tables. It's a very relaxing yet smart pub/bar/restaurant. Perfect place for meeting up with an old friend for a good gossip. The two floors ensure that you can always get a seat.

A good pub close to Angel tube but off the more rowdy Upper street strip of Walkabout etc. A good range of drinks and nice food. Well worth a visit and gets busy as early as the after work crowd. Arrive here early or book if you need one of the table or sofas, set over two floors. A great atmosphere most of the time , not too relaxed but not hectic. A small bar upstairs which can be busy as there is only room for one person and not ale up there so if that your tipple you'll have to go downstairs to the well staffed main bar. Usually good quick and accurate service. When we have had a large group booked onto a table the manager has check in with the person who booked with us that all was well, and was polite and friendly, great customer service!
Hectic but enjoyable

Going here late at a weekend does require some houdini-style moves to get in or at the very least some decent yoga, but after finding a spot you have more space than you think you will.
Decked out in pseudo-classical prints and an interesting attempt at a classical ceiling upstairs it does have quite a good atmosphere for what would otherwise be your standard pub.
Could do with a slightly larger bar upstairs as the poor staff barman looked overly stressed catering for 50 plus people.
Haven't tried the food but it looks pretty good from what people were eating. I would happily book a table for an evening event here.
