Wow what a curry, being a brummy I have become used to hi quality balti cuisine and other indian variations ect, from the 60s onwards, This place has to be in my top ten.for taste The staff not to say the least, well dressed, polite, efficent and made me feel at home, the variations of meals where truly outstanding for a small establishment. I picked this restaraunt from reviews online,( Reviews correct) And found a great place, The price I found was good, and to take your own drinks in has got to be a bonus. Next time we are down the Emirates or in the London area this place is a must, looking forward to next visit soon All i can say is you lucky locals

Great take-away service which didn't take more than 15 minutes. The staff are really nice, and the recommended some curries to me. I loved the tastes, and i would defiantly go again. If you eat in the restaurant bring some alcohol because they don't sell it there.

With out a doubt the best curry house I have been to in London. I love this place, firstly because the service is absolutely second to none, and secondly the food is so tasty. You can have a big meal for less than £20 for two (bring your own drinks though), which is pretty reasonable considering you could pay that for a small plate of goop in a "McMasala Zone". The Thalis are seriously good, both the vege and carnivorous versions, and if you're not keen on the sound of one of the dishes just ask if you can swap it! The staff are my favourite in London too (not like at a snobby restaurant where you're paying someone to be nice to you), and they are happy to chat with you about the menu, and suggest stuff if you're not sure what's what. If you're really picky, you can even order how you like your naan baked; from a bit doughy (with extra ghee how I like it) to extra crispy. If Carlsberg made Indian Restaurants, I'd still go to the Angel Curry Centre.

The service is absolutely amazing! The owner's serve free popadoms as starters which is very generous of them and free soft drinks.. not forgetting the food here is very tasty aswell. To top it off the atmosphere is very relaxing and its a great place to eat out. It's one of the best Indian resturants i have been to! Highly recommended.

After reading the review from Rik, I decided to try it out.
As I am not a big fan of curry, I cant really comment on how delicious it is, but it tastes better than most of the indian restaurants that I have been!
The staff are really frighteningly nice - if the service in OXO towers = 5 Star, the staff from Angel Curry Centre = 8 Star!!! They are so friendly and helpful that they are please to 'customise' their menu, ingredients for you. They will just try to satisfy their customer 100%!
Their delivery is quick too! I didnt need to wait and keep wondering whether they forget our order or wondering whether the delivery man got lost on his way, which happens to some of the take-away/delivery service. (this worth another Star to be honest.)
And YES, they do give you free poppadoms with your delivery and also while u wait for your takeaway.
Their phone number is gonna be on my speed-dial soon.
My favourite London curry house

If we want a takeway in our household, this is our automatic default choice. Nothing fancy, what you get here is a traditional 'English' style curry - but if that's what you want, it can't be beaten. The owners are extremely generous, and reward our loyalty with free soft drinks and poppadoms. The portion sizes themselves are pleasingly large, and I particularly recommend the thalis if you're feeling hungry. The prices are extremely reasonable - you can get two very generous meals for £15. If you go to the restaurant, you will find it cramped but extremely friendly, and although they do not serve alcohol, there is a bring-your-own policy.

I like curry. You only have to look at me to know that. I also like trying out curry houses, and the Angel Curry Center is the one I keep going back to again and again. Let's not pretend the food is nouveau Indian cuisine or anything. It's not. It is, however, a great British curry, which would easily beat anything on Brick Lane. The staff are frighteningly nice - usually they give me free poppadoms with my takeaway, sometimes free poppadoms and drinks while I wait for my takeaway. The price is very reasonable too, usually can get 2 meals with sides for about £16, which is an absolute bargain once you realise how good the food actually is. If you're eating in the restaurant, then it's a good idea to go and bring some alcohol drinks along as they don't sell them, but there's plenty of off-licenses on Chapel Market, so that's not a worry. If you want a curry tonight, do yourself a favour. Go here.
