As expected
Big pub, plenty of seating, drinks not too expensive and the last time I was there they were doing two for one on food. Not one of the chic-est places around by any stretch but does a job.

I once ran into two of the blokes out of Hearsay in the Steam Passage. They were playing on the quiz machine. I only went in the once, but I feel that tells you all you need to know about the place.

As expected
The Steam passage is quite a large pub that has a lot of seating, including some outside. Drinks are reasonably priced and food is often on a 2 for 1 deal. Otherwise, however, the Steam Passage is a pretty average place to drink.

Below expectations
One of the more comfortable pubs down this end. Feels less like a chain pub now that it has recently been done up. Food not great usual pub menu potato skins and burgers.
