Thankfully the curry doesn't arrive on a bicycle, so it is still warm when you get it... Had varying degrees of success with this place, it's usually top notch and I love the fact that they give you free poppadoms (I know, I'm easily pleased). Love the thali option, for someone as indecisive as I am it's a godsend! The last couple for times the food has taken ages to arrive, even though we're just around the corner, but I'll let them off as they threw in some free oniion baijis!

Good...for a takeaway

As far as Indian Takeaways go, this one is good. The food is of a very good standard. They also have an online ordering service, which is helpful if you have a geordie accent like mine. Delivery time can be a bit variable, and on a couple of occassions the food hasnt been as warm as it might have been.
Freewheelin' Curries

If all bicycle clubs were like this I might be tempted to buy a bike. Delicious modern curries, cracking poppadoms and all the usual glorious flavours of the sub-continent sit cheek-by-jowl with oh-so-21st century graphic design, web ordering and heat-retaining packaging. Truly a takeaway for the Monocle magazine generation. Swaad!

Bombay Bicycle Club does really excellent Indian food. The range is extensive. The orders come in lovely, smart coloured cardboard containers. My favourite is the Butter Chicken. Recently though my last few orders have taken over an hour to arrive, the people on the end of the phone are really unhelpful and rude and when the food arrives it has been cold. Grrrr. So I've taken them off speed dial.
