The BLT's are delightful here and the home made in front of you service really gives this place a bit of a unique feel to it. However at £3.40 its probably the most expensive sandwich around. But i think its value for money and they sell lots of trendy alternative foods and drinks to go with the sandwich. You can make your own sandwich as well from the selection of meats, salad and sauces they have to offer. Try a cheese and chicken sandwich with Mayo with a slice of black forest Gateuax.

I am properly screwed now because I'm hooked on this place meaning I will happily go there and pay around 7 quid for quality sandwiches, pizza slices, unnecessarily posh crisps and 2 pound glass bottled drinks. But when it tastes this good, I really don't care. The bread is so soft and succulent, you can tell how freshly baked it is. Then, the ingredients top it off to make every lunch time feel like a little piece of heaven. I actually don't care if I run out of money anymore, it's a stomach over head decision at this place. Saying that, if your appetite is like a normal persons, you can eat well for under a fiver.
Best sandwich i've ever had!

Just went here for lunch, got to pick my own toppings while it was prepared in front of me. I went for roast beef, rocket, cheese, and pickle on brown bread, nearly made the mistake of adding some mayo at the end until i realized that it wouldn't go that well with the pickle.
This was a seriously good sandwich, the bread was really fresh and the fillings were really tasty - the beef was amazing!
I am going here for my lunch every day from now on.

Ok, so me and Rik tend to go here together, so like him I should add that I've never been to the main restaurant. But the little sandwich shop next door is out of this world.
It makes sandwiches as they should be, fresh and right in front of you. Judge a sandwich by the tomatoes I say. If the bread isn't slightly damp because of the juice then it's not up to my standards.
The ingredients are fantastic, thick slices of ham, nice and mature cheese, black pepper, which may sound simple but is often left out. They also do a nice selection of pastries and biscuits, as well as slices of pizza for a pound.
Better yet the price is reasonable, expect change from a fiver for lunch.

Okay, let me just say that I've never been to the restaurant part of The Larder just yet, but I have been to the sandwich shop part and wow, their food is fantastic!
I don't usually give out 5 stars to many places, but The Larder is now one of those places that I will definitely recommend. Everything is made with quality ingredients, the bread here is absolutely amazing with the best crust, they give out very generous portions of our sandwich fillings too. The other homemade foods, from the casseroles to the cookies, are also amazingly good too.
The sandwiches are quite expensive, but when you take into account the low prices of the sundries, getting your lunch here is no more expensive than going to Eat, Pret or the nearby Benugo. In fact, you can get a delectable lunch time meal and change from a fiver - what more could you ask for?

Absolutely Terrible Service

Well below expectations
A few weeks ago on a Sunday I came across this place, but it happened to be closed, so I promised myself to return 1 day to sample the breakfast.
Fast forward to last Monday where I invited 2 clients for a breakfast meeting at 8am, and below are the events that unfolded.
Arrived at 8am to an EMPTY restaurant, and it stayed that way till 9.15am when we left.
My Porridge order (with berry compote) was brought out as Yoghurt with Fresh Berries instead, it took lots of hand waving to get the staff to come back and change it for what I wanted, even though there were NO other customers present.
I then asked for a Croissant to be told 5 minutes later that they had none left along with a general bad attitude.
The icing on the cake was when they brought the bill and had CHARGED me for the Yoghurt aswell as the Porridge, another few minutes of hand waving finally got their attention at which I demanded the following:
a, I am NOT paying for something which I did NOT order.
b, Remove the 12.5% service charge, as NO service in my opinion had been provided. (btw, this is the 1st time ever I have resorted to this, ever).
I got the revised bill, paid and left, and doubt I will ever return.
Your mileage may wary at this place, but above is 1 of the worst experiences I have had in London.
