Beyond expectations
A couple of weeks ago I was blessed with St Germain. The bar was buzzing, but relaxed. Bar man was friendly and charming. We moved into the lovely, airy dining room and experienced, I quote my companion "probably the best service I've ever had in seven years of living in London".
There was not a sniff when we orderd tap water - ice filled glasses and a carafe of water were speedily brought to our table. The waitress was knowledgeable about the wine list and all the specials.
The food was tasty brasserie fare, the starters marginally better than the mains. Reasonable prices and great service means we'll definitely be back.
