Movie Pub

I was told that the pub was used to film America Werewolf but due to a refit the only thing I recognized was the shape of the bar. Nevertheless it was a good reliable pub. Food is average priced for a central gastropub. I had sausage and mash which tasted ok but i didn't think I got enough food for £8.

No lamb for me please!

Ok I came here with my work colleagues for pub grub and a few drinks. Even though the food was really nice (typical English meal - sausages and mash) and the drinks were good... I am not too sure about the service. I tend to be quite picky about this specially when it is quite a big group of us and this will surely mean more money for the lamb's pockets no? Despite the waitress having a smile on her face , I am not sure how genuine this must have been! Our table was dirty and I did ask for it to be cleaned with no success :-( But apart from that everything was fine!!
Worth it for the food!
Yummy drink, Yummy food.

All I can say is, "Draught Kirin Ichiban beer vs Ultimate Chippie style fish and chips. Utterly Invincible." Such a great place, because you can also go down the equally fine Aspal Cider (also on tap) and homemade fish-finger butty route. In my opinion, this is without a doubt the best pub I've been to yet in Farringdon, and puts the others to shame. The furniture is all blatantly from second hand shops as every piece is "unique", as is the cutlery and crockery. Just writing this review is making me hungry for those chips covered with artery cementing amounts of salt and vinegar. I'll be back.

Yummy Fish & Chips

I think the Haddock that I had was cooked (fried) to perfection! The batter was just right, crispy but not too crunchy; the fish itself was the best! It was really fried to perfection: very succulent and just... YUM!
The chip was a bit overcooked though, a bit too hard, but i think fish compensated it.
Will definately go again!
Great drinks, even better food

The Slaughtered Lamb is a lovely little pub tucked away in the Clerkenwell / Farringdon area that has a great selection of drinks and an even better range of foods.
This place must be the only place in London that does Kirin Ichiban and Aspell Cider on tap, which is great for me, but if you're more a real ale fan, then there's also great ales (so I'm told... not really an ale admirer myself).
Now, even if you don't drink, you need to go here for the food. The dishes are something of a cross of pub grub and gastropub, but without the ridiculous price tag. Really well made pub food. They mainly specialise in fish, but do the pub classics - my particular favourite is the sausages and chips. The chips are done to perfection, the best for miles around.
It can get very busy here though, especially at lunch and weekends, which is testament to how popular it is in the area. If you really want to try the food, it's definitely worth reserving a table, but don't let it's busyness put you off going though.

Good in the Evenings Even Better at Lunch

The Slaughtered Lamb is an archetypal trendy bar in Farringdon, but that doesn't really do it enough justice. At night this place is packed, and I mean packed, of people enjoying a good selection of draft beers (including my particular favourite Kirin Ichiban).
On my last few visits I have gone for lunch, the pace is a bit slower and there is always a seat available, what's more the door stop sandwiches are great and the fish and chips is just how it should be.
The Slaughtered Lamb also gets a great mix of people: suits from the city, hundreds of architects and just a sprinkling of media types. But please leave your pretensions at home, they won't go down well here.
