As expected
This pub is perfectly located next to Farringdon tube/train station so there's not long to walk (or stagger) after drinks to catch the train home. This place is quite small inside with only a few seats so expect to stand on a friday afternoon (especially during summer). If it's warm people tend to gather around the outside on to the road even as it can get quite warm inside.
Busy in Evening Rush Hour

Its the closest pub to farringdon tube stop so its very busy when its not raining outside. I say this because its not a very big pub so its standing outside only usually. The Pub's quite nice inside, your usual old Victorian pub fittings and the drinks are fairly priced. But theres nothing special about this place at all.
Good pub for after work drinks

As expected
The Castle is a pub/bar in Farringdon and it's a great place to meet for after work drinks. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere early evening, but later on, on weekend nights at least, really loud dance music is played which, in my opinion, ruins it slightly. The food is expensive but quite good.
