Poor

09 Apr 08, 14:14 1* Well below expectations

This Morrisons used to be a Safeway, and when it was it was so much better. In its present guise it has slipped to become a poor excuse for a supermarket. It is terrible for three reasons: 1. Some days it shuts at NINE in the evening which in a 24 hour city is preposterous. 2. Laughable attempt at 'stock' - they never have any. 3. They seem to think that opening 3 tills out of 15 in busy periods is acceptable.

I get unneccessarily excited about special offers and saving money but thanks to Morrisons I've come to realise that you get what you pay for in this life, and therefore could no longer take the poor service/quality/stock no longer. I now shop online at Tesco.com and I'm much happier. I'm only giving Morrisons a star because I have to.

Less Reasons To Shop at Morrisons

25 May 07, 12:25 2* Below expectations

Sean Bean may make great stay of the fact that there are 100s of reasons to shop at Morrison's - but as far as this branch goes, there are only two things that make it worth going: 1. The cheap prices on everyday essentials (sponges, tomato ketchup, the Islington Gazette) 2. The branch is very near to a Marks and Spencer's and a Waitrose, so when Morrison's inveitably either run out or do not stock what you're after; you can simply nip next door and pick up what you're after.

Morrison's Holloway

03 May 07, 19:24 3* As expected

A large supermarket suitable for the weekly/monthly shop. Gets very busy on the weekend. Generally well stocked and a cheap and cheerful selection and atmosphere. OK but the own brand quality reflects the price. Good if you can use this supermarket for basics and go for elsewhere when quality is important. For example, washing powder is the same every where , cheap here but the deli butcher is great at Waitrose not far down the road. Depends on your time/money situation. We usually end up on the compromise of one trip to Sainsbury's.
