Small but good. They cook their food in stuff like yoghurt mint and lime and its as tasty as it sounds. Kind of mint green decor too. Worth popping into to check out

Good, but not that good

All I can say is thank god I'm not claustophobic. If you think Wagamama style seating is bad enough, then at Afghan Kitchen, you're literally sitting on top of each other. The woman next to me had to apologize several times because her elbows were getting in my way.
If you're not claustophobic however and don't mind very small spaces, then the food here is rather good. The chicken in yoghurt is rather nice, although they could do with bigger portions as it's not as satisfying as I would have liked.
It is pretty cheap though, and there's not too many things on the menu (which is a good thing), it's not as good as the other reviews say, but it is worth going at least once, just to try.
Don't overlook this hidden gem in Angel

This is a tiny restaurant that I've walked past several times without even noticing it was here. This all changed when a friend took me here for dinner.
The restaurant is minimalist in decor, it has a really small menu, about 4 main dishes to choose from, and it's a no-frills kind of place. This said, you still need to book (if only as the tables go really quickly if you don't get there quite early in the evening).
There are usually two vegetarian choices for food, something like a pumpkin curry and a chick pea curry, then a lamb and chicken dish for carnivores. They do really yummy freshly squeezed juices, and their rice is deliciously fluffy. They also do bread that is similar to the bread I buy in my local Turkish shop. The average meal is about £10 here, so quite reasonable. I think it's not licenced, not sure if it's BYO.
Very good restaurant

Afghan Kitchen is a fantastic restaurant which lies inconspicuously in a tiny building in Angel. The set up is pretty simple , there are a few dishes on offer, for instance coconut chicken, which is served with rice. You eat on simple long benches with clean and modern surroundings. Afghan Kitchen is also pretty cheap.
