not as good as it used to be

Below expectations
When I moved to islington 15 years ago I was very impressed with James Elliott's. The window was full of trophies, certificates and prizes for award winning beef. It was never cheap but the meat was delicious and their cheese counter was pretty good too. Unfortunatley the guy who ran the shop passed away a few years ago and the quality of meat, service and trophies passed with him. Now this butchers prices the meat as if it were award winning but sells meat of the quality that you would find in a supermarket. The red meat is bright red in colour and often looks wet rather than the deep burgandy colour of aged scotch beef. We live on Essex road but now walk up to highbury barn or liverpool road to buy our meat.
