Beyond expectations
This has got to be one of the best Indian restuarants I have had the pleasure of eating at in London. The staff and the service is exceptionally friendly, patient and very professional. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The food is absolutely wonderful. I have never really been a fan of Indian food, but the food at Zaffrani is really unlike any Indian food I have tasted in London. I will definitely be eating at Zaffrani a lot.

Beyond expectations
This restaurant is just a bit off the beaten path, but not difficult to find. The food is great, and the service is extremely attentive. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, with soft lights and modern decor. We would normally go there during the week and, while busy, it is not difficult to find a table. It may be different on a Saturday night, as it is not a big restaurant. Definitely worth trying if you like Indian and are in Islington.

Above expectations
Tucked away off Upper Street, this great Indian restaurant is easy to miss but well worth a visit. Inside the decor is contemporary and the service is good. They have a range of delicious dishes that are not the usual Rogan Josh and Jalfrezi so be prepared to actually read the extensive menu and not just choose your usual. Best of all the portions are a sensible size so you can have a starter, main course and a dessert (which are also very tasty) It does get busy on a Saturday night though, so go early or book in advance.
