A chain pub that gets really busy thanks to it's central location in Angel.

They do decent food and because it's a big chain drinks aren't too expensive. They do some good deals with wines and even champagne before 7pm on a Friday, so do as most do and get there straight after work and stock up.

A busy place, it is one of the better Slugs about town. Facing Islington Green, it is a popular early venue for a Friday/Saturday night. Reasonably priced drinks and nice food, all served by friendly staff.Sometimes shows sport if there is a big enough event but generally steers clear. Great for beginning your night or having a calm yet lively end to your evening if not out for a big one.

I love this place a nice comination of traditional pub with Islington cool. Great selection of wines and beers, bottled and draught. I had a wicked lunch, fish cakes on a bed of rocket - fab food and reasonably priced. They also have a nice beer garden out the back which is great.

Slug and Lettuce

The Slug and Lettuce is a nie little pub not far from Angel tube station. I've been to a number of Slug pubs over the years and although some have been ok, others have been pretty ropey. Luckily the Slug in Islington is one of the better ones I've been to, with the usual array of drinks, good tunes and a friendly atomosphere.

The staff were friendly and up for a quick chat, and the service was pretty quick even when it started to get busy. There's an area outside the pub where you can sit and chat and have a quick smoke, and the pub doesn't get too crowded as they have a guy on the door keeping tabs on the numbers coming and going (don't worry though, he won't click you out if you're just going for a smoke so you can still get back in!).

The music was pretty good, especially for a chain pub, and wasn't on so loud that you had to shout at your friends just to be heard. Prices were pretty reasonable too, especially for a pub situated in town. If you're looking for a quiet drink it may not be your best option but if you're looking for somewhere fun and with a decent atmosphere you could do a lot worse than this pub.

slug and lettuce is a great pub, with a brilliant atmousphere. the beer and drink are very reasonable in price and the staff are very welcoming. this pub is usually popular so go early to get seats. there are many young proffesionals here so it may be your lucky day!.

This is a pleasant pub with a nice atmosphere. Beer and food OK, reasonably priced. Always busy.
