Big Ch-easy

As expected
This place is quite fun – decked out with those red and white checked tablecloths, you know they are not taking the authentic American restaurant tag lightly… Atmosphere is always buzzy (loud but not in a bad way) in the evenings with the live music. As long as you’re not taking the whole thing too seriously, you will enjoy this place!
They do some good deals with the food that includes drink too, especially the lobster deal in the summer and the all you can eat barbeque one (not been brave enough to face that challenge yet) – portions are generous, service is friendly and they even provide you with disposable bibs, what more could you want?

The atmosphere in here is really lively, the only problem i could spot was that the seating is a a bit cramped up and it could do with re-arranging. Also the music was a bit loud and annoying, could do with tuning down whilst your trying have a nice meal and a chat! however its a nice cosy place to eat in, the food is absolutely amazing, finger licking good!

This 'Nawlins' restaurant was absolutely superb. Excellent food, friendly waiters and even steak-eating contests: a full American experience in the most English place.
Great for groups too, but slightly pricey?

Agree with Lucy, though had a bad experience last time where my ribs and prawns arrived almost cold. I doubt this is a systemic problem.
The place is also good for big groups - they offer massive platters of great finger food, and often they have bands/singers which are very good quality indeed.
I have a slight issue with the price, which is above average, but I think that's only comparing it to actual American restaurants in the States who seem to do this sort of thing - unsurprisingly - so much better for a much better price.

Full On American Grub

For a while this was my fav restaurant - I was going through a burger and fries and maybe some mash and onion rings on the side sort of phase - this place does all that perfectly - but it is heart attack on a plate stuff unfortunately.
The best thing about the Big Easy is that they have a brilliant fun american covers band that really give the place a party atmosphere - really good if you have a bunch of people and you're going out afterwards.
Or, if you have a hangover and need real food, this is a great venue. Although you might want to ask for a seat far from the band. Very load REM covers not good for headaches.
