Above expectations
This tiny restaurant on Ken Church St is a popular lunchtime haunt for those who work locally so if you swing by at peak time, finding a perch might be tricky.
If you do squeeze in, you've done well. Their fresh and interesting sushi combinations are delicious, but for those who aren't raw fish fans, try the noodle soup that comes with crisp and tasty tempura.
The deep fried rolls are decidedly inauthentic if you're a true devotee of Japan, but none the less very tasty - although probably better for sharing - and, at the other end of the scale - the cherry tomato and feta salad with edamame beans is fresh, light and delicious.
Service is generally swift and friendly and, if you're a fan of Japanese, and not a stickler for tradition, this modern take on it slips down a treat.
