Below expectations
Dark and dingy, uninspiring choice of beers, food is very average. On the plus side, has a couple of pool tables and serves up a decent pint of London Pride. There are much better options nearby, though.

As expected
Pretty standard pub, food and drink are fairly cheap & cheerful, bit smoky, bit grimey. It has a couple of pool tables and they show the football (England games get rammed). The Daily Mail's across the road so you get quite a few suits in there.
